September is planning month, and the City of Miami will hold its first hearing for the 2023 budget this Saturday, September 10 at 10 AM. The meeting is open to the public, and it is your chance to let the decision-makers know where you think funding is needed to address our neighborhood issues. DDA Monthly Board Meeting + Brickell Community Event
Also, the DDA (Downtown Development Authority) has its monthly board meeting on Friday, September 16, at 9 AM. Most Brickell residents pay a special additional tax to this governing body. However, it's up to the community to get involved and let the DDA know our needs. We highly encourage Brickell residents to attend the next board meeting. For more info and to RSVP, visit this link: DDA Board Meeting

Quick Plug: Save Florida’s starving manatees
Over 600 Florida manatees have died this year.
Here’s why: Our water is extremely polluted, and it’s killing off thousands of acres of seagrass, manatees’ go-to meal. Boat strikes have also killed hundreds.
You can help by signing this petition, which demands full protection for this species.
