➡️ What to Know About the 2025 eMerge Americas Conference
Driving the news: South Florida’s largest tech event, eMerge Americas, is back at the Miami Beach Convention Center for its ninth annual conference. The two-day event, which launched Thursday, features speakers from business, government, entertainment, and tech—including investor Daymond John and digital media mogul Dave Portnoy.
Details:
The conference includes an international innovation expo and a “Shark Tank”-style pitch competition.
Thursday’s speakers include Daymond John and Dave Portnoy in conversation with Miami Mayor Francis Suarez.
Friday features Palmer Luckey, founder of Anduril and Oculus VR, and a talk with Pitbull and Jason Inasi on digital entrepreneurship.
Other speakers include Stephen Ross, Martine Rothblatt, and Jacques Torres.
Why it matters: Since launching in 2014, eMerge has become a major economic driver for South Florida, generating $2.5 billion in economic impact and nearly 10,000 jobs across the region. It plays a key role in connecting startups, investors, and business leaders throughout Miami and Latin America.
The big picture: As Miami continues to brand itself as a rising tech and innovation hub, events like eMerge solidify its reputation and help fuel regional investment. New programming this year reflects a growing focus on defense tech, entrepreneurship, and supporting Florida-based small businesses.
What’s next: With momentum continuing to build, expect eMerge to further position Miami as a key player in global tech. Its impact goes beyond networking—it's shaping how and where tech businesses grow in South Florida.
The bottom line: eMerge isn’t just a conference—it’s a catalyst for innovation, investment, and community-building across the tech ecosystem in Miami and beyond.
