🤔 Three big questions for Miami in 2022

We made it y'all!! The first Friday of 2022!

In this weeks edition let's take a look at some of the big predictions/question Miami and the State of Florida are facing this year.

Who will Florida's elected officials be? Even though midterm elections are 11 months away there's already a ton of speculation and predictions on how the race will turn out. Positions up for election are Governor and our U.S. Senator/Representatives seats. On top of that Florida lawmakers are in the process of redrawing the boundaries based on the 2020 Census. Will Miami get affordable housing? If current real estate trends are any indication, sadly, no. Prior to COVID-19 affordable housing was already an issue affecting Miami and Florida as a whole. As it turns out, property values have only skyrocketed since then.

Will Miami host the 2026 FIFA World Cup? Miami is one of the 22 cities in the running (along with Orlando) and an estimated 16 cities are to be chosen. State officials are supportive of the idea as last year The Enterprise Florida Board of Directors agreed to allocate $10 million toward Miami and Orlando's goal of becoming host cities for the soccer tournament, with each city receiving $5 million for their respective campaigns.

A Miami developer has revealed a potential vision for South Beach that could see property values in the area increase significantly.
